Canjica or mungunzá is a Brazilian dessert that is very popular at Festa Juninas. The dish is prepared with special corn for hominy, cooked with cow or coconut milk, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Other ingredients such as peanuts and condensed milk can be added at will. In Colombia and other Latin American countries there is a similar dish of boiled corn called "mazamorra".
